Executive Director, New Zealand
Malcolm has led the development of the G2G Know-How programme since inception, taking over the formal leadership of the group in early 2016. During that time G2G has grown in scale and influence, with projects spanning more than 15 countries and some 20 sectors. Malcolm’s passion for New Zealand, for innovation, and for improving livelihoods at home and abroad, remains core to the G2G philosophy.
Prior to working with G2G Know-How, Malcolm’s roles in development assistance, trade negotiations, business development and diplomacy has seen him living and working across Latin America, the Pacific Islands, Asia and the Middle East. Previous roles include leading the Foreign Ministry team in New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland, and Ambassador to the UAE, Qatar and Iraq - during which time he opened the New Zealand Embassy in Abu Dhabi and built the bilateral diplomatic and commercial relationship.
